Tiling

CTA offers you a wide variety of tiling courses ranging from DIY, victorian tiling, undertile heating to NVQ training. Our facilities offer you the chance to gain experience tiling walls, floors, kitchens and bathrooms along with earning you a City and Guilds qualification and certificate.

All of the tiling courses provided by CTA are taught by NVQ trade tutors who hold teacher/trainer qualifications and assessor qualifications therefore can work with you from the beginning of your training right through to the completion of your NVQ qualification   

CTA guarantees quality training whether you are at our centre one week or 28 weeks, we make sure that all members of staff are available at the centre to provide you with all the support you need. 


Our Courses:..

1 Week Wall and Floor Tiling Course      ...This course is designed for people who have a large project to tackle at home, covering all the basics for that new kitchen or bathroom.

From this course you will gain a certificate stating that you have gained a City and Guilds unit of accreditation towards the City and Guilds 6217-01 award,

2 Week Wall and Floor Tiling Course      ...This entry level course provides a solid foundation on which you can build your tiling career.

From this course you wll recieve two units of accreditation (unit 018 and 021) towards the City and Guilds 6217-01 full award.

Following this qualfication you can

  • progress on to complete further units towards the 6217-01 award
  • start your own business
  • gather some experience and evidence twards your NVQ Level 2

 

Construction Award Diploma      ...To provide the candidate with a broad knowledge, understanding and skill training to become qualified within the wall and floor tiling. The qualfication is aimed at those individuals wishing to join the construction industry as wall and floor tilers.This new qualification replaces the ICA to comply with the sector skills council requirements for broader training as defined in the construction qualification stratergy.

Apprenticeship      ...An apprenticeship in wall and floor tiling allows you to gain on the job training in a work placement. Getting paid while you learn may sound too good to be true - but as an apprenticeship you really do get the best of both worlds
