Course Aim

To provide the candidate with a broad knowledge, understanding and skill training to become qualified within the wall and floor tiling. The qualfication is aimed at those individuals wishing to join the construction industry as wall and floor tilers.This new qualification replaces the ICA to comply with the sector skills council requirements for broader training as defined in the construction qualification stratergy.

Course Entry Requirements 

This course is designed for complete beginners therefore no experience is required


Course Content 

Know how to carry out safe working practices in construction

  • Know the health and safety regulations - roles and responibilities
  • Know about signs and notices
  • Know the accident / first aid / emergency procedures and reporting
  • Know how to identify hazards on construction sites
  • Know about health and hygiene
  • Know about safe handling of materials and equipment
  • Know about basic working platforms
  • Know how to work with electricity
  • Know how to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Know the fire and emergency procedures.

Carry out working practices in construction

  • Apply health and safety regulations and responsibilities
  • Use correct signs and notices
  • Apply accident / first aid / emergency procedures and reporting

This course is a mixture of both practical and theory
