An NVQ is an award that demonstrates you are experienced and competent in your trade. In relation to the Construction Industry, it is mandatory from 2010 for any construction trades person to hold an NVQ – or working towards one – for them to hold a CSCS card and be on a building site or development contracts.

In order to qualify for an assessment for an NVQ2 in Plastering, you must fall into one of these categories:

Have at least 3 years plastering experience, with evidence to prove this (for funded candidates through O.S.A.T)

OR

Practicing plasterer who can provide sufficient evidence of experience

The NVQ2 is purely work based, so no time off work is required to get it completed. Our assessors will come to you and guide you through what is required in order for you to achieve the award. You are given a maximum time of 2 years to complete the award, although normally it is completed within 3-6 months.
