NVQ Level 2 in Dry Lining
Dry Lining assessment

Course Aim

This is to support any persons already working within the industry who is employed to carry out dry lining activities of either "fixing" or "finishing" and to qualify the individual to the recognised minimum of an NVQ Level 2 qualification. We offer two NVQ course provisions that are available

1. Interior systems - Drylining (fixing) - NVQ Levelo 2, and

2. Interior Systems - Drylining (finishing) - NVQ level 2

The achievement of either of these awards, alongside the Prometric Health and Safety touch screen test, qualifies the indivudual to apply for his/her indusrty CSCS card.


Course Entry Requirements 

There are two routes available to qualify for course registration. These are stipulated by the C.A.A. Awarding body, and clearly state and monitor the minimum requirements for access.

Route 1 OSAT - This is for the experienced worker who has a proven track record of working within his field for a minmum of the past three years. You must also be either currently emplyed, or self employed. No previuos qualifications are required for access evidence is based on your historical track record within the construction industry.

Routw 2 New Entrant - this is for the newcomer to the industry. Again, you must be either employed or self employed. This route will take longer than the OSAT option as you are required to gain valuable training and experience on site up to the assessment level.   


Course Content 

As with all NVQ's. They are competence based with the individual having to achieve a number of set "units", that make up the award. Each award has its own particular units that require the individual to show successful industry competence of both practical and underpinning job knowledge applications.
