COURSE AIM -
An NVQ is an award that demonstrates you are
experienced and competent in your trade.
In relation to the Construction Industry, it is mandatory from 2010 for any construction
trades person to hold an NVQ – or working towards one – for them to hold a CSCS card and
be on a building site or development contracts.
We at Chase Tiling Academy and Construction Assessment Group are able to assess you for an NVQ2 in Wall & Floor Tiling using our
qualified A1 Assessors. You will be assessed through the OSAT route of qualification.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS -
In order to qualify for an assessment for an NVQ2 in Wall & Floor Tiling,
you must fall into one of these categories:..

Have at least 3 years tiling experience, with evidence to prove this (customer references etc….)
OR
- Have completed an accredited tiling training course (ICA or equivalent)

VR01 Conform to General Workplace Safety

VR02 Conform to Efficient Work Practices

VR03 Move and Handle Resources

VR141 Prepare Backgrounds for tiling
-
VR142 Tile Wall and Floor Surfaces
TRAINING METHOD -
The NVQ2 is purely work based, so no time off work is required to get it completed.
Our assessors will come to you and guide you through what is required in order for
you to achieve the award. You are given a maximum time of 2 years to complete the award,
although normally it is completed within 3-6 months.
OUTCOME -
NVQ2 qualified
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -
Our Assessors are not geographically tied, so assessments can be
carried out anywhere in the UK.
